A Spotlight on the MTM Cobra 35mm for Women
There is a habit in the watch industry of treating a women's watch as the inferior version of a man's watch. The dial gets smaller, the functions get cut and the case gets polished up for a display cabinet. The assumption is that the woman wearing it does not need it to do much. Well - we do not build watches like that.
The MTM Special Ops Cobra 35 is our women's watch, and it belongs to the same Special Ops line as every other Cobra we make. It is machined from titanium, fitted with sapphire and a screw-down crown, features a chronograph and dual time, and is rated to 100 meters. It is built for women who fly, serve, patrol, respond, train and travel. The work is the same, so the watch is the same Cobra - built at a size that fits you.
Why is the MTM Cobra 35mm one of the best women's tactical watches?
Put simply - because it is a full tactical watch, not a fashion piece. It is made of titanium, sapphire, has a chronograph, dual time and 100 meters of water resistance, in a case sized properly for a woman's wrist.
The Cobra 35mm is built for whatever you throw at it
The Cobra 35 measures 35mm across without the crown and 13mm thick. We have built it at this size for a very specific reason - a watch that is too large for the wrist gets in the way. It overhangs the wrist bone, catches on straps, harnesses and kit, and will not sit under a jacket or nitrile glove cuff. On a smaller wrist, a 44mm or 47mm case is just a nuisance - every time you move, it slides around your wrist - and that is not what you want.
At 35mm, the Cobra sits flat and stays put. The case is machined from grade-2 titanium, so it is light: 2.25 ounces on sailcloth and 3.5 ounces on the titanium bracelet. You can wear it through a 12-hour flight, a night shift or even an entire deployment and forget it is there until you need it.

A chronograph that you can depend on
Inside is a Japanese Miyota FS-16 quartz chronograph. It times up to 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59.99 seconds, so it is just as useful for a 400-meter interval as it is for a full day's operation, a flight or a long drive. A fourth hand tracks a second time zone, keeping home time or Zulu time on the dial without any mental arithmetic.
The rotating inner bezel sits under the sapphire crystal, with a fixed bezel outside it. The bezel cannot be knocked out of position against a door frame, a stretcher, a control column or a rifle sling, and there is nothing on the outside of the case to snag.

Readable when you need it to be
A smaller dial has to work harder to be legible, so we have not cluttered it. The hands and indexes use Super-LumiNova, so the dial reads perfectly on a night shift as a paramedic or police officer, and the sapphire crystal is anti-reflective, so it reads just as clearly in a bright cockpit or out on the shooting range. The crown locks and screws down, sealing the case to 330 feet.
Choosing your MTM Cobra 35
Every Cobra 35 is assembled to order and individually numbered. You choose the case finish, dial and strap, but the choice is about how and where you will wear it.
For field and tactical use, we would recommend the sandblasted grey and black DLC. Both are matte and non-reflective, and DLC adds a hard, scratch-resistant surface. Brushed silver and gold are for the woman whose watch needs to go from work to dinner without being swapped out.
The sailcloth strap is the lightest and most flexible option, and the one to pick for training, water and hot climates. The titanium bracelet adds weight but wears harder and dresses up. Dials come in brass or carbon fiber. The Cobra 35 is priced from $1,520 to $2,080 depending on finish and strap, or you can build your own.
A watch for women who get the job done
We build watches for people whose equipment has to work. Plenty of those people are women. They are pilots, soldiers, police officers, paramedics and search and rescue volunteers. So are the women who simply want a watch built properly rather than one built down to a price or up to a look. The Cobra 35 is not a concession to them. It is the same Cobra, made to fit.

Frequently asked questions
The Cobra 35 is designed to fit a woman's wrist. It uses the same titanium construction, sapphire crystal, screw-down crown and chronograph as the wider Cobra line. It is built for the same kind of work and has the same reputation as the larger Cobra - renowned for its exceptional build quality, rugged reliability and dependability when you need it most.
Mainly because it is smaller. However - the Cobra 35 uses a rotating inner bezel with a fixed outer bezel, where the larger Cobra 44 and 47 use an external ratcheting bezel. It is rated to 100 meters rather than 200. And it is considerably slimmer and lighter: 13mm thick against 15.5mm, and as little as 2.25 ounces. These are the trade-offs we have chosen for a compact case you will wear all day.
No. The dial is kept clean, with Super-LumiNova hands and indexes under anti-reflective sapphire. It reads at a glance in daylight and in the dark.
Because reliability matters more than prestige. Quartz holds its accuracy without being worn or wound, handles shock and vibration better than a mechanical movement, and keeps running when the watch sits in a locker for weeks. The Cobra 35's silver oxide battery is manufacturer-rated for three years.
Yes. It is rated to 100 meters (330 feet) with a locking screw-down crown, which covers swimming, open water and snorkeling. For serious diving, look at our dedicated dive watches.
Yes. Every Cobra 35 is assembled to order. You choose from four case finishes (black DLC, brushed silver, sandblasted grey and gold), brass or carbon fiber dials, and a sailcloth strap or titanium bracelet. Each watch is individually numbered.
The Cobra 35 carries a three-year limited warranty for the original purchaser and ships in its own watertight MTM tactical case.
